How We Pick AI Tools

Our goal: MyFreeAISource helps users compare free, freemium, no-signup, browser-based, local, and open-source AI tools with as much verified context as possible.

Our review process

  1. Start with the official website, pricing page, docs, GitHub repo, privacy policy, terms, or changelog.
  2. Classify the tool by primary workflow, category, pricing signal, free-plan usefulness, and setup friction.
  3. Connect each tool to related prompts, alternatives, and comparisons so users can keep researching.
  4. Mark uncertain details as verify/unknown instead of guessing.

What the Free Plan Score means

The score is a discovery signal based on available free-plan details, open-source access, no-signup access, browser use, API access, and verification freshness. It is not a guarantee of current pricing.

Verification levels

  • Official site verified: The listing has an official URL or source link.
  • Needs review: A useful listing exists but details may need checking.
  • Unknown: The site should avoid making specific claims until a source is available.

Affiliate and sponsored policy

Affiliate links and sponsored placements should be disclosed clearly. They should not automatically determine rankings or make a tool appear more accurate than it is.

Report inaccurate information

Visitors and tool makers can use the update form to report outdated pricing, wrong free-plan limits, broken links, ownership changes, or official documentation updates.
